Chris Cocalis the brains behind Pivot Bikes visited us in May to get into the detail of Pivot Bikes. Chris sold his last bike company Titus a few years ago to set up Pivot, to focus on a range of suspension frames with stiffness, light weight, and full suspension function being at the core of the design.

Working with a friend of Bliss Bikes, Dave Weagle, Pivot Cycles employs the DW LINK design, which allows full use of the shock stroke, a variable suspension curve, all based around a solid pivot design. The result is a suspension design tuned to be sensitive when required, but offering amazing anti-squat properties enabling you to carry more speed through bumps and into the turns.

Our new showroom opens shortly displaying the Pivot range, and staff also ride Pivot, so we hope we have the answers to any questions you might have! The Pivot Bikes UK demo fleet is located metres from us, so we can offer a comprehensive test ride service, in which we will go through the key technologies being used, their benefit to you, and then let you get out and ride, and try for yourself!

Anyone buying a Pivot Cycle from us is offered FREE bike fitting, using the latest bike fitting technology to give you comfort, control and performance.

Here at Bliss Bikes we understand that when purchasing a high quality, high end frame, you need to test ride the bike as a whole to appreciate it’s qualities, and to re-assure you before paying out hard earned cash! With this in mind, we have access to the largest Pivot Cycles test ride fleet available. Subject to our terms and conditions for demo bikes, you can try a Pivot Cycle on your terms, at your favourite riding spot, without a salesman standing next to you.

When you arrive to collect your demo Pivot cycle, we will introduce you to the bike, the key technologies, and then proceed to set your position up for you to get a great fit. Then we will set the shock up for you to ensure correct suspension performance. This way, you know that the frame is correctly set up for you personally, and will reflect the ride you will get if you decide to purchase a Pivot Cycles frame.

Pivot Cycles Demo Bike Programme terms and conditions

1. To enquire about booking a Pivot Cycles demo bike complete our Pivot Cycles Demo Enquiry Form online or contact us on 01403 713 470 so we can take your details and check availability.

2. We will ask you to bring with you the following for security and insurance purposes:

- Photograph ID, this can be a current driving licence or passport

- Proof of address, this should be a recent domestic bill (within the last 3 months) or council tax bill

3. We will take a pre-authorisation of a credit or debit card for £500.00. This means that the money is ring fenced in your account but not taken. Upon return of the bicycle this is cancelled, which takes 48 hours. We do NOT charge for the demo bike. All the set-up, fitting, and after-ride servicing is provided by us FREE OF CHARGE.

4. In the event that you fail to return the demo bike, we will charge the full retail price of the bike to your card. And of course inform the men in blue!

5. It is YOUR responsibility to ensure the demo bike is safe and secure at all times. In the event that the cycle is stolen, you will become liable for the replacement of the bicycle. So please ensure you have adequate security, and that your insurance company or wallet are prepared for this situation.
